up on the roof top
children pause you see
remembering of goodness
the Savior gives free
it's there for all
but each must find
ways to provide more
and the reason to remind
full of the spirit warm
humble and wise tis true
a spirit of Christmas
shows in blessings too
sharing and giving
all just a small part
tender understanding
dwells in every heart
with a heavenly gift
each is given love
where to share of all
from the Master above
finding memories there
filled with warmth oft
hearing angels singing
blessing increasingly soft
thus tonight on roof tops
when you just might hear
little sounds or teardrops
this spirit is then near
however it must be found
within each person's soul
to feel the Saviors birth
wherein your life is full
it's not another's call
to give what He gave
only that we do know
He alone came to save
so upon awakening today
lift your eyes to the source
not just trees and lights
to help you stay the course
