a Saturday"

Today is the day
for lots of hugs
as we all gather
on the king size bed
and start the day
with family prayer
(as all the other days)
but today we are all
sleepy heads with jammies
still on and no place
to hurry to go;
Thus we laugh and play
talk about what
we need to do
and make assignments
in acceptance and glee
while little baby Sarah
now but three
wants to know
what we have for her
so she can play too;
Yes hugs go much further
than it is to tug or lug
to pull or try to push
a hug is happiness
for all involved
and on a Saturday
we've time for all!
