“Within – Without”

Gazing into the pool’s shimmer
breaking the surface slightly
am I within or without the pool
part of me is within just a part
while much of me is without
my whole being feels water
my mind senses it fully now
much like a belief I’ve found
within – without can I tell all
can I be understanding truth
just a small thought passing
or can I reject truth without
because much cannot touch
thus many reject the truth
while only partly being within
rejecting as the world finds
being without now an excuse
not feeling with the whole
rejecting the warmth within
breaking the surface slightly
the pool’s glimmer ignored!
