How shameful of this
old man
missed a best
friend’s birthday
amid the hustle and
daily rush
it came and went like
the wind;
Whose birthday did I miss – oops
someone very special
to us all
repeatedly recognized
in thoughts
sharing and giving
love and hope;
To us or like us only
five years old
in his environment
now thirty-five
yet still a puppy and
still vibrant
Odin had his birthday
and I forgot;
He’ll forgive me as
he’s done before
knowing I love him as
he too loves
caring for my older
twin brother
happy birthday Odin +
many more!
