of the cannonade
musket fire
resounding awful
rifles
and shotguns adding
presenting
a storm of might
echoes enable
sleep at night
strange rhythms
remembered
then a hesitation
in battle
amid the storm beauty seen
unnatural
and surreal to be
yet
natural as if in a dream!
