Hanging my head in embarrassment

for the inability to sustain my actions

maintaining our Nation forever free

remembering Walt Kelly and his words,

“We’ve met the enemy and they is us!”

what has happened to our Constitution

violated by those elected to protect

far past was the warning signs seen

while all the time we were silenced

first the media and then the politician

now the police, FBI and now the DHS

when will it stop and I can re-engage

lifting my head and assisting all

honoring our Constitution again

having the ability to sustain honor

and putting in their place those

who dishonor their sacred oaths

and as Pogo would remind us all,

“We met the enemy and it is us!”
