Covenanting
to be on guard
to defend
the Commandments
holding
fast to the rod of iron
leading
none astray with guile
defending
the children/elderly
regardless
of the tribulations
winter
blizzards or fiery heat
gales,
hurricanes, tornadoes
staying
the course each day
calling
all to the Sabbath day
keeping
the purity of Gospel
plain
and simple the truths
on guard
always and forever
few are
found holding fast
more
deserting their posts
unwilling
to face the laughter
unable
to endure the pressure
slipping
and sliding away
accepting
rhetorical images
waving
the Commandments
disregarding
covenants;
But
there are still a few
doing what
is right always
standing
on guard forever
enduring
to the very end
obedient
and accounting
calling
in the blizzard all
going
into the desert often
gathering
in the lost sheep
feeding
the poor and hungry
clothing
the naked and widow
caring
for the orphan always
thus
being found obedient
in the
service of the Father
testifying
of the Savior
being
true and virtuous
every day
and on today
the
Sabbath Day found!
