Born as
a twin brother
lightning
broke the sky
and by
the age of nine
the
brother of the heart
passed
beyond the veil
leaving
half or maybe more
having
two hearts to own
twin
brothers are that way
thus
struggling into youth
losing
soon after a mother
running
away at sixteen
seeking
to excel unknown
with an
honest heart
truth-telling
in his spirit
soon to
dominate others
not in a
harmful way
but in
competition all
carrying
others to victory
re-defining
the athlete
this
Bright Path growing
becoming
among the elite
giving
back always
to his
people and others
till in
the dusk of the day
broke
and without
still
the two hearts beat
alongside
each other
till no
longer able
his
great physic gone
slipping
into the grave
welcomed
by his brother
waiting
to his mother
with his
father there
and each
time today
lives in
the memory
many who
never knew
yet
accept the records
the
cheering crowds
forgetting
often the man
the
young child a twin
when lightning
split skies
brothers
again together!
