A board game
politicians play
sending the youth
into the pits
300 bottles of
champagne drunk
caring not who knows
or cares
lying, cheating,
compromising
negotiating in deceit
and guile
pretty dresses and
fine suits
overflowing with
naive blood
body bags lined toe
to head
shrouds of those
given away
no longer family
honor known
no longer virtue or
chastity
no longer truth or
any honesty
just a stench of the
living dead
holding high offices
of guilt
war is not honorable
today
as an afterthought it
never was
for what good can
come of evil
man’s lust for power
to gain
started in the
pre-existence
will not end until
the last call
when none left to
fight again!
