"Of Works It's Written"

Revelations 18:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

 

Revelations 18:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Some call James of straw

others say only by faith

still some say Grace alone

understanding not at all;

 

Hear the clarion still call

what did the Savior atone

living within their wraith

missing the Gospel’s call;

 

Faith without works is dead

and found in Peter and Paul

John, Isaiah, Job, Matthew

when coming to the bar;

 

Knowing not who they are

leaving soon only a few

other’s in bitterness’ gall

leaving Scriptures unread!
