“Friends Passing”

Lost in the maze of time/space
busy lives and many distractions
sometimes old friends to seek
while others things interfere
maybe two cars on a highway
passing friends ever so close
or else in the same store to be
mostly we miss without knowing
but these are our passing friends
when too often we read papers
to know they too have passed
as each of us someday will
remembering the good memories
these our now passing friends!
