Sifting through
generations of time
great volcanos and
fires untended
modern explosions and
negligence
always someone to
clean up the mess;
Raking ashes
throughout all of time
smoothing for new
growth to begin
whether it be the
rains or the icing
long before the
advent of men/women;
Yet today ravages of
fire consume
as men/women stand
idly watching
expecting fire hoses
to clean the mess
while constantly
playing with the fire;
Not always the kind
which only burn
but of different
kinds to kindle evil
thus giving the
raking ashes definition
beyond time and space
eternally!
