Reflections
of one’s conscience
as if a
looking glass in a pond
ripples
distorting all the images
seeing
only what one wants
never viewing
the reality seen
moving
swiftly to the shadows
mirrors
of our minds in darkness
moving
our thoughts all around
seeing
only what we want to see
dreaming
of who we were to be
lost in
the mire of the algae
no
longer a reflection of life
one’s
distortion of reflections!
