Planes”

Was it so many years ago
1948 when I was so young
marched in the yard around
guns pointed at us in fun
then quickly shooting high
at planes over us in the sky;
Knowing wrong and why
unable to do anything but cry
for their evil was to be done
today the same evil is found
different names to be sung
the evil others now do sow!
