Awakening
this day with dreams
knowing great
things to happen
dressing
hurriedly for school
preparing
for learning today
while
having studies very hard
opening
windows of my mind
searching
the Internet fully
just so
much out there to find
getting
to the school steps
entering
the classroom bright
only to
hear the opposites
of all I’ve
studied to prepare
that
what I’ve read and seen
really
never happened at all
disillusionment
sets in again
political
correctness takes over
garbage
in and then back out
awakening
this day with dreams!
