“Hallow the Sabbath Day”

Commanded from on high to obey
None exempt from this command;
Required is our soul then to pay
In all things obedience is required;
None to bear any burden or work
As many hear the word yet none;
Fire to be kindled where all found
Devouring all in haste by the fire;
Anger shall not be quenched today
To dishonor the Lord in his anger;
Each to hallow the sabbath day
Profound this command to each!
to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden,
even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem
on the sabbath day; then will
I kindle a fire in the gates thereof,
and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem,
and it shall not be quenched.
