How many years to
recount
blessings and
tribulations
tears of excitement
so felt
across an alter as we
knelt
setting eternal
foundations
serious situation
surmount;
Forty-four years like
a day
extending into
eternal life
snow storms and
fierce rain
suffering and much
pain
refined in a time of
strife
ending each day to
pray;
Wondrous dreams true
a meeting of you and
me
protests and plenty
of love
surely prayers from
above
opening our hearts to
see
eternal love of me
and you!

when did we grow so
old
once so young and
wise
holding fast to pure
truth
