So many swear to die
others simply ignore
but why die at all
indeed better to live
so much to give
hearing the call
into eternal war
questions of why;

To live or die today
hear the battle cry
shouted miles around
in the heavens above
even by two in love
reverberating sound
so many swear to die
living better to stay;

Those alive can do much
while those dead none
feeling a breath of air
yes better alive to stay
living into another day
wonders thus to share
good able to be won
feeling Father’s touch!
