Banners flying proudly
battles yet to begin
warriors on each side
invoking prayers of faith
awaiting the signal all
for glory or atrocity;
Centuries marching to
others flying high over
some entrenched to hold
others under the sea
either to live or to die
for glory or atrocity;
The battlefields remain
littered with memories
bodies broken and spent
decay and smell pervade
none escaping intact
for glory or atrocity!
