Trudging on a death march
winters cold icy weather
heavy with child ready
falling in the snow apart
soldiers, others passing
husband by her side
hounded by the French
losing site of their side
yet the child is soon born
and shortly they catch up
the Family McGuire a son
Father’s Plan continues
8 January 1809 – the 71st
a Sabbath Day to know
enduring until the end!
