Can it all be summed up

eternity in a day to lose

while a lifetime to earn

yet on one day all gone?

 

Many claim to believe all

good people and caring

yet unwilling to sacrifice

one day among the many;

 

Maybe or maybe not to go

church an options to them

but matters not if they do

it’s what they do that day;

 

Keep the Sabbath Day holy

nothing about doing sports

water-skiing or even to hunt

resting, serving, in tune;

 

Eternity in a day to discern

our behavior in obedience

finding holding to the rod

or giving eternal life away!
