Holding
a grandchild’s hand in mine
hearing the
happy words of her day
growing
each window to awaken
opening
new words and clarity
happy
smiles - wonderful hugs
sharing secrets
just she and I
same as
in the past with another
both
these little girls growing
ever
keeping grandpa guessing
vocabulary
and word usages
partly
of the happiness of life
but also
that sincere ability
sensing
another’s sure need
to
desire them never to age
while
knowing not to interfere
Father’s
daughters full of love!
