System logins denied
each time
calling and wondering
of why
told the system has
me as dead
not to bother them
again tomorrow
then on the spur of
the moment
realizing maybe I’m
not dead
sending a check
written to me
guessing the risk
worth the chance
dead men checks sit
idle aside
pondering the idea of
cashing
wondering if dead men
can!
