Dropping to one knee in dirt

maybe somewhere some sand

others found in slippery mud

mattering not where or when

but the reason of prices paid

many thought all were in full

but then another day asked

paying more and much more

for combat is an older whore

demanding all that is tasked

then some beguiling to pull

and into the mire more wade

mattering not where or when

someday all will understand

seems all of mortality to girt!
