“An Angel”

(taking care of me)

Over my shoulder hearing laughing

maybe just some imagining by me

hospitalized and unable to fight

so resolved to take it like a man

and yes I did (w/crutches) stand

until in the dimness saw a light

just in time thus able to all see

this angel just at me laughing;

She thought how funny I looked

helpless and yet ever so brave

wanting to move about so fast

after an angel taking care of me

yet there was a smile others see

no anger thus able to long last

and with tickles thus did I cave

on this angel eternally hooked!
