Fullness
of color distinct
reds,
whites, blues
other
flags too found
varieties
of profusions
yet
still the red of blood
the
white of the bones
of blues
lacking oxygen
no
breaths taken again
hanging
limp in the winds
ignored
by history’s whim
these
flags of color
long
lost at horrible cost
fading
into the mist
time
forgotten so alone
never
measured reality
myths
and lessons
telling
of the heroes
where
came the colors
red of
the blood
white
from the bones
blues
without oxygen
paying
fully the price
freedom
required
ignored
but for a few!
