"The Enemy"

Hi – sometimes we forget who the enemy is – and thus we’re unable to deal effectively with him/her or groups. As when we’re convinced another is ‘judging’ us or our friends – our habits or dress – those we choose to call our peers. Sometimes we forget in feeling so hopeless in communicating with another that we give up in frustration and thus many important truths never get taught. The enemy can be almost anyone according to John (in the New Testament) who leads us away from the pure truths of the Gospel of the Father and the Son whom the Father sent. Thus – it can be ourselves (I); we – us and our friends; and they – any others who seek to lead us astray from what we know to be true and are validated in the Scriptures literally. Mostly we’ll seek to consider those who love us the most as our enemies – especially the Father and the Son – parents, spouses, etc. hugs and love c/ork

(Prologue:

So many seek passing blame
justification and suspicions
disobedience and disruptions
unaccountability and evil
irresponsible and selfish
unlearned and unheeding
oh dashed are the mortal
finding an enemy about
yet knowing not of who.)

“The Enemy I”

Carrying forth a mirror
glancing about to see
yet always seeing a me
for the enemy is but I
withholding one’s all
standing yet in awe
so much I oft deny
unable sight to flee
wanting to be free
from all sin to clear.

“The Enemy We”

Setting out together
straight and narrow
yet turns in the road
lost thus we become
first fighting in fear
then inviting the wrong
trying to become peers
forgetting the choice
we once made to keep
now again to play
thus we need more
in our lies to pray.

“The Enemy They”

Surrounding all about
stinging in their talk
slander in their meanings
abuse in their actions
striving to be selfish
yet we’re to fight back
against the enemy they
wherever they’re found
knowing to thus endure.

“The Enemy”

Always and forever
the enemy is sin
whether I, We, They
how we respond shows
the where we’re found
often in chains bound
Father really knows
when we sincerely pray
eternally we’ve to win
enduring we endeavor.

(Epilogue:

Thus it’s to endure
shutting out the sin
being obedient only
to the Father and Son
knowing they love us
are there always for us
their will to be done
then never to be lonely
finding the veil thin
happy, true and pure.)
