Doctrines of pure truth to obey

yet many as in the days gone

reject the truth and obey not today;

 

Sound doctrine of common sense

from the Savior to all men/women

refuted in history by those dense;

 

Precepts found in the world to be

yet excused away as only a simile

therefore in the darkness not to see;

 

Which are we found to be today

and will we be the same tomorrow

those ignoring or those who obey!
