Waking up each day knowing alive

everything hurts where it should

maybe a couple new places too;

 

Gathering the wisdom of the ages

understanding better the Prophets

gleaning now in the vineyard near;

 

Meeting now and then a traveler

seems I’ve known once before

we converse on the world things;

 

But only for a moment do we dwell

then to the eternal and important

our conversation visits once again;

 

Happy to be old but sad for others

so much to learn and so little time

wherein we’ve left to study/ponder;

 

Finding comfort in the truth we know

tenderly embracing family and friends

the road to Zion long and difficult;

 

Integrity still found to be intact here

obedience to the Father and Son

Temple covenants cherish forever!
