"One's Humility"

Preface: Each day I try to select one Scripture from what Joyce and I are reading from each evening. Helping us to continuously search the Scriptures. (Note: we’ve been commanded in these latter-days to diligently search the Scriptures daily.) Each year we start and read the Old and New Testament – The Book of Mormon – the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. When we finish we begin over again – we find it amazing how much we seem to have missed from the prior reading. Now we’ve been doing this for almost 40+ years not counting the reading which we each do and study on our own. May we understand the Commandments of our Lord and Savior – each of us individually, as families and as friends.  It is in my thinking that the adversary is seeking a ‘knock  out’ punch by eliminating our elected President and the complete destruction of the Constitution. However, when one reads the Scriptures one will know of the covenant that the Father and the Son have made in this last dispensation as long as there are found a righteous people seeking them in full obedience that this nation (America) will be preserved. This does not mean it will be without great trials and tribulations – with the appearance of the adversary winning on every front due to their control of the media – but if we can each collectively and individually endure to the end – this covenant will be kept!  c/ork

“One’s Humility”

How is it to be found in humility
understanding selflessness
in the servitude to our Father
understanding we are nothingness
without Father’s love and forgiveness
while each day we supplicate Him
through his only begotten Son
finding and seeking repentance
finding employment in the garden
working steadfastly in the vineyard
coming into the full understanding
eternal life in the Kingdom of God
families, husbands-wives-children
generation upon generation ever
this is it to be found in humility!

Nephi 4:33 And their hearts were swollen with joy, unto the gushing out of many tears, because of the great goodness of God in delivering them out of the hands of their enemies; and they knew it was because of their repentance and their humility that they had been delivered from an everlasting destruction.
