Long ago somewhere in time
men/women went looking
taking what was not theirs
destroying anything found
ravaging the countryside’s
conquesting just for the fun
till coming to modern day
the art of the deal is guile
new rules and violating old
leaving nothing untouched
power, lusts, greed, abuses
till found as those of long ago
abusing all that is good/right
simply because they’re bored!
