“To Wander”

To wander in darkness
un-understanding
truth
confused and alone
while amid the crowds
like the ibis in
trees
calling and calling
each
then as a flock to
flee
feeling that they’re
free;
Citizens to wander
today
freedoms to squander
too
allowing others to
control
hiding under
entitlements
acting in their mind
as trolls
absorbing the
unimportant
pretending to be so
smart
accepting evil as
their art;
Unheeding of the
Scriptures
especially Isaiah to
ignore
calling James to be
as straw
wondering why they’re
blind
unhearing and
unfeeling
to wander in the
darkness
of daylight ever so
bright
living only thus in
the night!
