“Perishables”

Too many
think of eggs and milk
or even
meats, chicken or fish
forgetting
always the trivial things
such as
cars, money, houses
boats,
yachts, resorts, recognitions
storing
up their wealth all in vain
for all
such things are perishables
enduring
only for a time if that
cannot
be taken with at death
while
the imperishable found
to be
the treasures in heaven
earned
in service and obedience!
