As
promised long ago – far away
after
we age we’re younger to get
thus
this two-fold process is mental
physically
a body can’t comprehend
thus
the brain has to understand
changing
gears from sixty to twenty
seventy
to the age under that of ten
so when
a birthday occurs yearly
we age
physically but not mentally
thus
our friend Ed Pope is really
mentally
14 – with an older frame
so
Happy Birthday Ed and more
till
once again an infant to become!
