It shouldn’t be but it is

hearing the voice past

so many so long ago

crying to be found again

so many unhearing them

too wrapped up in self

seeking just more pelf

playing leaves not stem

genealogy not to begin

progenitors to not know

thus their cries to last

it shouldn’t be but is!
