Ebbs and flows of the
battle
ever seeking one side
today
within constant
engagement
raging yells of
triumph heard
then the low cries of
defeat
each soldier swaying
feelings
we’ll win the day or
tomorrow
uttering then ‘all is
lost – run’
no arrogance is found
here
just emotions of the
young
without the wisdom of
age
amour-propre of
immature
in
self-respect/confidence
then in desolation
today!
