“Grieving Today”

It’s not what the
world comprehends
for there are friends
forever gone
therefore having
sacrificed their all
while we were allowed
to come home;
Yet we’ve the tears
of remembering
why them and why not
us instead
we know the answer
but still hard
grieving today and
then again to cry;
Life has roles each
of us to perform
some to die too soon
for loved ones
yet others to live it
seems too long
striving to be worthy
able to endure!
