Fools measure
themselves as fools
against their peers
to be appreciated
worldly thinking and
goals of pelf
self-depreciation of
others and self;
Found wanting by
higher standards
thus to ignore what
is good or true
seeking only what is
found at night
never once
considering what’s right;
By God’s measure will
our soul be
tested and found full
or wanting
never against another
to be found
yet within obedience
will be bound!
