There stretched before two paths

one inviting with lights and music

promises of fun and excitement

here and now to enjoy fully;

One with rocks, stones uneven

some darkness early on to see

light further off so inviting

yet so difficult to traverse;

Barefoot and raw soles

bleeding and healing in time

resting and taking up cross

having taken the second;

Paths intertwine often within

one tempting the other not

one smooth one rough

one keeping Commandments!
