Much like trimming candles

making shadows alive dancing

projections upon the snow

reflections in the windows

scurrying small feet to see

eyes aglow within wonder

hearing the story of a child

forced parents into manger

cold winds abroad this night

this a special and sacred

manger for the Temples

birthing of sacred lambs

tended by the Shepherds

adults this night attending

hearing the chorus sweet

afraid first then comforted

dimming the lights in safety

sending one or two to check

found in the manger a child

wrapped against the cold

awe and wonder to behold

born into the world a Savior

only begotten in flesh

of the Father and Mary

Jesus Christ was born!*

for the birthing of Temple Lambs unspotted

thus attending adult shepherds all year

here was found the infant Jesus

with Mary and Joseph about April 6th-

the 25th celebrated as a Roman holiday

and the followers could rejoice

not being noticed by the soldiers.)
