Ending each day in the woods

finding peace and serenity full

birds hopping bush to bush

geese returning to their ponds

egrets slowly winging home

now and then a hawk heard

often times an owl to hoot

deer moving for a final drink

night creatures coming awake

but most of all to see in awe

the sunset fading to the night!
