Finding paths long
abandoned
searching for water
to drink
seeking stars to find
the way
yet overcast and
blankly gray
almost being lost is
just the same
sweat and fear
entering within
breathing quicker and
shallow
unknowing where one’s
going
most likely to find
their way
going nowhere quite
fast
almost being lost the
same!
