Clamor
of horns and drums beating
clashing
swords and armor meeting
cannonade
and thundering charges
lacking
nothing in magnificence to see
hearing
beyond endurance to bear
screaming
silently adding to the din
noise of
battles frightened hoards
rumbling
wheels on the rutted roads
so much
unable to understand
clamor
of horns and drums beating!
