Americans are the greatest fools

believing what they read of self

once though they were great

when others in need called upon

breeching withering fire and death

attacking and defeating the evil

leaving youthful blood for another

thousands upon thousands to give

whether here at home or abroad

now to be reclosed and abused

blamed for the world’s anger

blamed for socialism failures

blamed for another’s blunders

excuses to demean a people

Americans once proud no longer!
