"Understand Prayer" my thougths...

Many have been sending prayers around the Internet – pleading with Father to help our nation during this election (2012) – thus my thoughts – c/ork

Dear Heavenly Father –

We’re grateful for allowing us to be here in our mortality and in a land which thou hast blessed and made free

But as our brothers and sisters of the past many have fallen far from the covenants which they’ve made with thee.

Yet we need thee – and are calling upon thee as Yours and Our nation needs thy intervention in this election year

Please give us a president that loves this country and everything it stands for and should stand for.

Please give us a president who respects you as the one true God.

Please give us a president who will, with your help, restore this nation to its former glory found only in righteousness, the way you created her to be on true and eternal principles.

Please help us to respect what thou have given to us and not take anything for granted ever again.

Please God weaken the evil and strengthen the good both without and within.

May our eyes be opened.

In the name of Jesus Christ

 A prayer given when all else is expended indeed is a prayer too late given – however, when one seriously repents of their past behavior and is willing to go forth and not return to their former ways – then prayers can indeed be heard and answered.  Our nation has neglected both righteous behavior and valid prayer to Heavenly Father – often in vain repetitions and half-hearted attempts.  No nation which has turned its collective back on the Father and the Son can ever entreat them to continue to bless their behavior.  When over 50% of the population don’t keep all of the Ten Commandments all of the time – then this nation is not showing the love which is required of them.  Obedience is part and parcel of loving Heavenly Father and His Son our Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ.  Sadly, as history has shown there are no non-believers in a foxhole being targeted – yet the same is there are few believers when the weather is fair and all is going well in their individual worlds.  If one wants their prayers answered (which they will be one way or the other) then they’ve to be in tune with the Spirit of God.

A petition unto Heavenly Father

coming from us here on earth

through our advocate the Savior

to our December from our birth;

 

Found grateful for all things

acknowledging who we are

and Father for his kindnesses

preparing us to meet at the bar;

 

We ask for that which is right

that we’re worthy to receive

understand prayer is communion

if in obedience we do cleave!
