When awakening each morning

having not long ever to wait for him

temptations and the adversary

quickly find their way to interfere

offering the greed and lusts

avarice and vanity as well

seeking to destroy my day

and my fragile life as well

never hesitating for invitation

setting upon the door step

hoping for the chance to gin

so thus prepared to meet them

my decisions made long ago

the Celestial Kingdom’s home

for which my Savior did Atone!
