The ax dull from abuse

making the cutting hard

increasing the effort

incapable to do the cut

as the blunted iron old

rusted and cankered all

kept unsharpened ever

much like the rod of iron

when left by all un-held

cutting and tearing now

when trying to grasp anew

learning repentance hard

one’s soul living in abuse!
