Found alone and in emptiness

waiting each day for known not

sitting on a park bench in winter

waiting for nothing in the street

vacant looks without any hope

others around in laughter seen

couples exchanging glances

children playing and calling

one to another and another

yet found alone in the maze

wondering where was love

companionship missing all

sadly to have chosen other

no tears – no cries – no hugs!
