Heating the night’s
chill
fragrant the smell of
wood
a meal prepared
simmering
over the crackling of
thorns
within the fire on
this night;
Wherein we seek to
warm
while huddling around
all
silence inviting to
savor
while listening just
now
to the crackling of
thorns!
