images and memories
haunting over and
over
nothing done nothing
madmen of the world
either today or then
main stream media
pretending evil good
good evil lies truth
worse today always
hatred and venoms
knowing better but
sold souls gone
without feelings
for hard stuff!)

the child laughter
butterflies fading
birds unable singing
pretending at life
amid the death
humanity dying
within unknowing
lingering till today!

“Hollows”

Winds seeking walls
shrieking amid tombs
wombs empty without
hollows in the brain
where once love
now aloneness
gone away reality
satan winning
playing same game
seducing losers
destroying others!

“Here or There”

Whether in Germany
or Poland/Israel
San Francisco/Chicago
murdering to murder
drugs/greed/hatred
here or there
then/now
who has learned
history discerned
no longer taught
here or there!

Walking where walked
soldiers to
battlefields
retracing steps
before
seeing mangled bodies
hearing the fierce
screams
explosions and fire
hard stuff of memory
unable to forget
unwilling to forget
hard stuff within
not seen without!
(Epilogue:
days ending in tears
thunder and lightning
blank stares
questioning
all this history
there
so many unable to see
wanting only roses
burning flags
destroying truths
without souls
without feelings
hard stuff there!)
